Pillars of the concept of positive thinking

Published by Nitin Shah [nitin_shah] on 2008/11/1 (286 reads)

The sucess of positive thinking depends on a couple of factors. These factors can be considered as the pillars of positive thinking concept. If any of these factors are missing then the concept fails. Lets see what these factors are:

DESIRE

Most people find no problem in establishing this pillar in there life.

When trying positive thinking in general, you should have the desire to be positive in life.

When trying positive thinking to improve a particular situation, you should have the desire to improve the same. Here desire does not mean addictive, grasping desire, but a clear, strong feeling or purpose.

BELIEF

One needs to believe in the concept of positive thinking itself and then obviously the more you believe in your chosen goal and the possibility of attaining it, the easier it will be to attain the same. Some people falter here. Its easy to be positive for somethinkg to happen but to believe in its happening is what people find difficult.

ACCEPTANCE

You must not only be willing to accept and have what you are seeking, but also accept that you are responsible for the present circumstances of your life. The base of positive thinking concept is the acceptance that whatever happens in ones' life is a result of his/her thoughts/beliefs. Hence the first step for being positive is the acceptance of complete responsibility for what and where one is in the present. This is the place of factor where a lot of people fail as not many are willing to take the responsibility for what and where they are.

PATIENCE

This is where most people fail. After doing all the work to truely become positive, people want to see quick results without realising that all these years that had been releasing negative emmotions and thoughts, it takes a bit of time to neutralize the past before one creates a present of his/her liking. Initially it might take time depending upon the kind of life one have been living, but once things start happening results can be seen faster and faster.

The some total of the first three factors is what can be called intention. When you have the total intention to create something - i.e. you deeply desire it, you completely believe that you can do it, and you are totally willing to have it and you have the patience for it to happen, it simply cannot fail to manifest, and usually within a very short time.
