THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING IN BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT

In his book "YOU CAN WIN" Mr. Shiv Khera writes- "I have spoken to executives in major corporations all over the world and asked one question:

"If you had a magic wand and there was one thing you would want changed, that would give you a cutting edge in the marketplace resulting in increased productivity and profits, what would that be?"



The answer was unanimous. They all said that if people had better attitudes, they'd be better team players, and it'd cut down waste, improve loyalty and, in general, make their company a great place to work."

This one answer shows how important is ones attitude in the current competitive business environment. Its not a secret that the success of an individual, organization or country, depends on the quality of their people. And the most important quality for success is a proper attitude, a positive attitude.

Why is positive thinking and positive attitude important in business?

Positive thinking concept says that thoughts have a power to manifest themselves in reality. This in itself shows the importance of positive thinking not only in business but also in life.

And for people who do not believe in the power of thoughts, having a positive attitude is still important because of the other advantages which it has. To mention a few, a positive attitude

  2. Fosters teamwork
  3. Solves problems
  4. Improves quality
  5. Makes for congenial atmosphere
  6. Breeds loyalty
  7. Increases profits
  8. Fosters better relationships with employers, employees, and customers.
  9. Reduces stress
  10. Helps a person become a contributing member of society and an asset to their country.
  11. Makes pleasant personality.
