In everyday speech Meditation means thinking things over. But in various meditative disciplines the word has more specific meaning, referring to a special level of mind, clearing the mind of all conscious thought. The following techniques, to be followed in sequence, can be useful during meditation to develop the power of positive thinking and to achieve the peace of mind:
