Why negative thoughts easier to access

Published by Anonymous on 2007/12/23 (89 reads)
Sometimes physical friends say, "Abraham, why is the negative thought so easy for me to access and the positive thought sometimes is so hard for me to access?" And we say because you've been practicing that thought for so long it just seems like it comes naturally to you.

But it doesn't come naturally to you, that's the point that we're wanting to make. It's something that over time and over a lot of programming and over a lot of frustration, you have continued to force yourself to think the unpleasant thought because somewhere along your trail somebody said to you, "If it isn't hard it isn't worth doing, and if you're not suffering and if you're not struggling then there can be no great result from it." We cannot imagine how you ever bought that because the entire universe speaks to the contrary of it, but that is sometimes where you stand. And it is our desire to assist you, through every process that we offer and certainly through the dialogues that we will experience here together today, in reclaiming your natural vibration so that finally the path of least resistance for you will always be the compliment.

We would love to see you looking out into the world that is full of some things that you don't like and many things that you do like, and that it would just be your natural bent to point out what is going well. We would love to see you having a conversation with someone who has maybe done something that you don't even approve of, maybe even they did it to you, maybe even they had malice in their heart in when they did it, and still as you look at them you love them from the very core of your being because that is the true nature of who you are.

We would love to see you being so secure in your own right, so knowing of who you are, so knowing of your worthiness and of your value, that you are not looking for the flaws in others in order to justify the flaws in yourself. In fact, you can't even find the flaws in others because you have activated so well within yourself a vibration of well-being that when you look out into the world it looks to you to be as lovely as it really is because you have reconnected with your Source rather than standing in a disconnected, petty place, worried about who you are and nitpicking about who they are in a comparison way.
